It’s hard to say, bub, without knowing him. But you know him well enough, i’m assuming, to be able to make an educated guess. You need to decide if losing his friendship is worth it to you to try at a relationship. This is a matter of the heart. Are you ready for it? Coming out is something you really have to do some soul searching for. If you aren’t ready, do NOT do it. People might judge you and look down upon you, you’re right. But i bet you’ll be surprised at the people who stick by your side out of the love they have for you.

Don’t feel guilty! Everyone likes what they like. It does not matter what sexuality you are, it does not always correlate to what gets you off. If the guilt is really eating at you, try talking to your partner about it and explaining how you feel.
